★★★★★ Psychiatrist/Psychoanalyst Recommends!
Rabbi Michael Shevack’s book “Soul Lessons from the Wizard of Oz” is just what he says it is. Delightfully and playfully he investigates, scours and analyzes the deeper, intuitive and spiritual aspects of this time tested sweet and lasting story. He mentions “Jungian Archetypes”-ideas universal and fundamental to all of us. One example dear to me is “Birds fly over the rainbow; why then, oh why, can’t I? In grade school we sang a song; “The saints of God” in which every verse ended with “And there’s not any reason; no, not the least, why I shouldn’t be one, too”! I think and pray about this almost everyday, and as a psychiatrist/psychoanalyst recommend it to my patients. And I heartily recommend, “Soul Lessons from the Wizard of Oz” especially to anyone in need of a lift. —Evan J. Thomas, MD
★★★★★ Fantastic and Uplifting
Michael Shevack nails it with this. The book is a quick read, creative, funny and relates each part of the famous movie/novel to the pressures of today's complex life. You can read it in a couple of days. The author lays out simple methods for adjusting your thinking to be help you be happier, more successful and more in touch with God. If you like books by Rev. Norman Vincent Peale or other self-help books that help lift your spirit, this is really fantastic. Explore your inner munchkin!

★★★★★ A must read for anyone on a spiritual quest.
This is a remarkably good book and much deeper than it might appear at first blush. It is sprinkled with intellectual gold dust and portrays a plethora of scholastic underpinnings as well as a deep spiritual understanding. This is a must read for anyone who is on a spiritual quest. For those with a background in philosophy or theology you will find ‘Easter Eggs’ strewn throughout. I highly recommend this read.

★★★★★ Delightfully Enlightening
This book is delightfully enlightening—a cross between a literary romp and a guidebook for spiritual development. It is cute and clever and, at the same time, an astute cinematic analysis of Fleming’s classic film. I found it a relatively quick read because of the author's percussive style, his peppering the text with interesting religious and etymological facts, and his contagious enthusiasm and optimism about his readers' potentials for spiritual growth.
